Do I need a commercial license to use TopoKit?
TopoKit is source-available under the Business Source License 1.1. Non-production use, prototyping, internal evaluation, and educational use are free. Production use, embedding in a commercial product, or offering it as a hosted service requires a Pro or Enterprise license.
Is the license per developer, per application, or per server?
TopoKit Pro and Enterprise are licensed per developer (per seat). One license covers a single developer using the SDK on any number of applications, environments, or end-user deployments belonging to your organization. There is no per-server, per-CPU, or per-end-user fee.
What happens when my license expires?
Pro and Enterprise include a perpetual fallback license: when your annual term ends, you keep the right to use the version of TopoKit you had at expiry, indefinitely, in production. You only lose access to new releases, updates, and support until you renew.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If TopoKit does not work for your use case, contact [email protected] within 30 days of purchase for a full refund.
Do you offer volume or non-profit discounts?
Yes. We offer volume discounts starting at 5+ seats and reduced pricing for registered non-profits and academic institutions. Contact [email protected] with details.
When does the free Apache 2.0 conversion happen?
Each version of TopoKit is automatically relicensed under the Apache License 2.0 on the fourth anniversary of that version’s first public release. After that date, the version becomes fully open source for any use.
